Release of the DEMO system |

PioneerX Estates releases a demo copy of it's advanced OpenSimulator control system - the PXE-RCI. This demo is fully-function with the notable exception that it is not hooked up to a real grid and therefore a few function either simulate a real grid or are non operational. We have provided this demo so that grid owners can explore the ease of use of our control system and see just how it would benefit there own grid.

Here at PioneerX we have always tried to be the very best we can and to release our products as error free as is possible. While we throughly test everything it is not possible to anticipate some of the challenges that arise when new things are released to the public (people think of all sorts of things we didnt).
In light of this we have made available a bug tracking system called Mantis, this system will allow you register any faults you may find or feature requests and track there resolution/development.

PioneerX Estates has been working the past few months to bring its unique approach to OpenSim hosting, control and development to a new set of products aimed at those that own grids or wish to become grid owners.
The new product range leverages the unique and advance control system, originally developed for PioneerX Estates own hosting requirements, into a set of license offerings that no grid should be without. Why fumble with monitoring, manual restarts, console commands & writing ‘ini’ or XML config files when you can have it all in one easy to use website with a ‘point and click’ graphical interface.
‘In Partnership with’
This is a license program that provides access to PXE’s advanced OpenSim control suite without giving over hosting completely to PioneerX. This allows grid owners to leverage any hosting provider they choose and to design/build their grid infrastructure how ever they like, while giving access to the control suite provided by PXE.
‘Hosted by’
This low cost hosting solution not only provides PXE’s advance OpenSim control suite as part of the package but takes all the hassle out of hosting by bringing the entire Virtual World inside the PXE hosting centre.
In addition to both these license programs PioneerX Estates is also providing pre-configured grid systems for hosting else where. If your thinking of starting a grid and do not want the hassle of setting up all the servers and services to make it work, then maybe we can provide you with pre-configured grid servers to run on your existing hardware (Grid & Region Servers, Monitoring Server, even right down to the firewall can all be provided to run on most hardware).

PioneerX Estates – No new installs
The last year has been a mixed bag for us here at PioneerX Estates. With the successful roll out of version 4 of the RCI platform on many grids and with the addition of countless new features and enhancements on the v5 product this has been hugely successful. However with a rather busy and stressful personal life the primary developer for the product can no longer commit the time required to keep the enhancements going.
As a result of this PioneerX Estates has decided to cease retailing new RCI installs. We will contiune to support our existing clients (those with active license subscriptions) but will no longer be issuing new updates or retailing licenses to the platform.
Is this the end of the RCI.....well no, there is still a need for the RCI platform within OpenSim systems we just no longer have the man power available to offer new services. As such we will maintain existing customers, support and development but for the moment we will not be offering installation services to any new customers. |
