The region manager is where you can administer the regions on your grid. This module allows for a user to see as few or as many regions as you desire them to. When regions are created they are assigned to a group of regions, users assigned the same group can see the regions within it.
The region manager is also the launching point for several other modules, such as the Terrain module, whose functionality is based on the existence of regions.
